11Years Cancer - Free: the truth about life after TNBC As I was replying to a message in an emotional health support group recently, a wave of memories from my treatment days came rushing back. It’s been 11 years since I was diagnosed with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) — a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer with limited treatment options. Though my physical treatment ended long ago, my healing journey continues. Every year post-treatment has brought a new layer of understanding, discomfort, learning, and rebuilding. And today, I want to write about the part of survivorship most people don’t talk about: the silent, emotional battles we face long after the doctors say we’re “okay.” πŸŽ—️ Life After TNBC: The Emotional Reality Being a TNBC survivor is a blessing — and sometimes a heavy emotional burden. The fear of recurrence never fully leaves. A new pain or symptom can trigger deep anxiety. There’s the pressure to “move on” when inside, you know you’ve changed...

Crispy Masala French Fries – 3 Flavor Twists Kids Will Love!

Crispy Masala French Fries – 3 Flavor Twists Kids Will Love!

Potato snacks are an all-time favorite for both kids and adults! French fries are my tween’s go-to lunchbox treat — and over the years, I’ve created my own healthier, crispier version with a special twist.

These fries are tossed in a homemade masala (spice mix) that adds a burst of flavor — and the secret healthy ingredient I use gives them an irresistible crunch!

🌟 What’s Special?

  • A healthy secret ingredient: rice flour adds crispness without deep batter.

  • Customizable spice blends: choose from 3 unique masala mixes based on your mood or craving.

πŸ₯” Ingredients:

  • 8 large potatoes

  • Oil for frying

  • 4 teaspoons rice flour

Magic Spice Mixes (Choose One or Try All!)

Spice Mix 1:

  • Kala namak (rock salt)

  • Red chilli powder

  • Amchur (dry mango) powder

Spice Mix 2:

  • Peri-peri spice powder

Spice Mix 3:

  • Oregano

  • Chilli flakes

  • A pinch of salt

πŸ‘©‍🍳 Method:

  1. Prep the potatoes:
Wash thoroughly, peel, and soak in a bowl of cold water.

  2. Cut the fries:
Slice into thick, even sticks and place them back into the cold water.

  3. Remove excess starch:
Rinse the potato sticks 2–3 times, changing the water each time.

  4. Dry completely:
Spread the fries under a fan or pat them dry with a clean cotton towel.

  5. Add crunch:
Toss the dry fries with rice flour to lightly coat them.

  6. Fry in batches:
Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed iron pan on medium flame. Fry till just golden and drain on paper towels.

  7. Spice it up:
Sprinkle your favorite masala mix on hot fries and serve with tomato ketchup or homemade dip.

πŸ’‘ Tips:

  • For best crunch, ensure the fries are completely dry before frying.

  • You can air fry or bake them too — just spray with oil and flip midway.
